A painting inspired by my hometown. Bains Beach is a beautiful wee beach located right in the old town of Lerwick, Shetland.

Hand painted in watercolour and then scanned in to my computer to make the artwork into a digital print.

The print comes mounted, as seen in the image, but without a frame. If you wish to purchase a frame for this item, you will need one with an aperture to fit 16 x 12 in.

My 'Scotland in Colour' range provides a contemporary twist on landscape painting. Whilst painting each one I was purposeful in painting with opposite the colour/tone that would normally be used to create something unusual but still pleasing to the eye. The pastel palette provides an ethereal look to the finished piece.
