Hello! Thank you for joining me here at my new blog space where I am going to be sharing more information about my experience running a small creative business, any tips and tricks I’ve learnt along the way and what I’ve been getting up to in the studio.

I’m not someone who finds talking about myself easy but since beginning this venture over 6 years ago I’ve learnt that you really have to back yourself in order to push your work to the next level. I’ve had to get better at putting myself out there and shouting about my work. because if I don’t then no body else is going to. So, it really was overdue for me to start creating blog posts and sharing a little bit more than the overview that you see on social media.

October is looking extremely busy, this weekend I am taking on two events on the same day with the help of my husband and then I am going straight into a pop up shop the following week with two other amazing creatives.

Beautiful Balmoral Backdrop

SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER 10-4

If you are into craft fairs and discovering new small businesses, this event is one not to be missed, with over 80 exhibitors in attendance. The market will be set on the lawn below the castle, it’s going to be to beautiful!

We will be there with our gazebo and plenty of stock so please do come by and visit the stand.

The event is completely free but please be aware there are parking charges in place at Balmoral.

Hy Pop Up Shop Collab with Purplejain & Ellacey Design

Tuesday 10th october - sunday 15th october

68-72 Allardice street, stonehaven

I really cannot wait to be back at Hy this month! I had my first pop up there with my Auntie & Uncle’s business, Lava Jewellery, back in May and it was a lovely week. In all honesty it really gave me the urge to look into having my own premises… maybe one day!

You can find me there with Purplejain who will be there with all her super impressive detailed inky creations and Ellacey Design who creates these gorgeous playful ceramic pieces.

Our opening hours are: Tues-Sat: 10-4 & Sun: 11-4

I have one other super exciting event coming up veeery soon which is the reason I won’t be in attendance at Balmoral Castle this weekend, my husband is kindly stepping in to man the stand that day. I can’t wait to share what I will be getting up to, it’s something completely new that I haven’t done before and I won’t lie the nerves are starting to creep in!
